After procrastinating for quite long time, now only i got the time to write for the post to Betong, Thailand.
Actually our business mission was located at Pengkalan Hulu, Perak whereas because Pengkalan Hulu was a small town and only few restaurant available, we decided to go to Betong, Thailand to have our lunch. For your information, only 15 minutes needed if driving from Pengkalan Hulu, Perak to Sri Betong, Thailand.

We went to this traditional Thailand restaurant to have our lunch.
At Thailand, you can see all the shop or restaurant sure hang or paste their King picture on the wall, they are very respecting and adoring to their king. If compares with their divinity, the king even higher rank than the god.

Golden Phoenix Fish, 金凤鱼, The pool is located beside the restaurant, if you order then they will catch the live fish to cook for you, so absolutely it is very fresh.

Menu

Our tummy already drumming, after sitting at the car for the long hours. It is around 400km from KL to Pengkalan Hulu.
We could not wait anymore, stared on the menu and directly ordered 4 dish without thinking twice.

Our drinks, sugar cane juice and chrysanthemum juice, 菊花, very fresh and icy, only RM2 per bottle. You can get it at all the restaurant in Betong. Their local famous product.

Suitable to drink during hot weather.

Fresh vegie - cucumber and long bean to mix with the Balacan chili, it is very delicious and good as appetizer.

White fungus fried with prawn - tasty and aroma because of the wine that they mixed into it. Moreover, i must say the prawn was very fresh, big and springy.

Sliced chicken fried with taro - flavourful, served with a lot of lumbar bean and taro, but difficult to find the sliced chicken. The portion of the chicken was too little already, we only enjoy eating the lumbar bean and taro not satisfied enough.
You see the dried chili? hehe... Thailand dried chili is very big size compare with our local version.

Intestines fried with salty vegie, if you come to Thailand you have to try their pork and also pork innards because it is different with our local pork, it totally does not has the strange taste and smell like our local pork.
The pork intestines was very crunchy and fresh, it was very good mixed with the salty vegie.

I think almost half of it was finished by me. This dish very good to increase the appetite.

Curry Smelly bean with prawn - The way of cooking this was not special but the smelly bean was fresh and big.
This was our first meal of the trip having at Thailand and the bill was not cheap, total damage about RM70.00++ for 4 person. For my personal view, the taste of this meal was acceptable but the price a bit expensive because only normal dish we ordered.
